**Sorcerer: A Strategy Card Game** is a 2-4 player strategy game in a grim, gaslamp-lit fantasy world, where players command lineages of ancient beings to conquer three battlefields using sorcery, minions, and tactical dice combat. Key mechanics include: - *Energy system* Random dice roll at round start generates shared energy pool for balanced actions like conjuring minions, casting spells/possessions, drawing cards, adding energy, or moving minions. - *Action Phase* Players spend energy to deploy minions to battlefields, enhance them with possessions, or use sorcery for direct effects, emphasizing skillful battle preparation. - *Battle Phase* Roll custom dice equal to minions' attack traits (miss, hit, double hit, critical hit) to place damage on foes or battlefields, adjustable via Omen tokens for re-rolls before distribution. - *Deck-building* Story-driven expansion of personal decks with conjured minions, spells, and items. - *Push-your-luck elements* Blend of strategy, dice-rolling randomness, and Omen-influenced outcomes for balanced risk. - *Battlefield conquest* Goal to control three battlefields through combat and positioning. Sorcerer divides gameplay into Action and Battle Phases for fluid hardcore flow, combining familiar mechanics like deck-building and dice-rolling with a unique Omen system for influencing combat results.
