Prior to the Talisman Expansion Set and following the 2nd Edition, Games Workshop promoted new cards via White Dwarf #72, later incorporated into official releases. Key releases include: - *Samurai Character* Featured in White Dwarf #72; later officially in Talisman: The Adventure expansion. - *Curfew & Closed Shop* Adventure cards released in White Dwarf #72. - *Bolster, Bladesharp, Resurrection & Enrich* Spells debuted in White Dwarf #72. - *Transmute* Spell in White Dwarf #72; later in French Le Héraut Citadel #4. - *Resurrection* Spell in White Dwarf #72; later in French Le Héraut Citadel #4. In anticipation of the Talisman: Expansion Set release and post-2nd Edition launch, Games Workshop issued promotional cards in White Dwarf magazine issue #72 as an advertising feature. These included the Samurai character card, Adventure cards Curfew and Closed Shop, and Spells Bolster, Transmute, Bladesharp, Resurrection, and Enrich. The Samurai was subsequently officially published in the Talisman: The Adventure expansion. Additionally, the Resurrection and Transmute spells appeared later in the French publication Le Héraut Citadel #4.
