The remaining players act as Paranormal Detectives, each equipped with an asymmetrical pre-constructed deck of interaction cards, an investigation sheet, and a player screen. On their turns, Detectives pose open-ended questions and play one interaction card, prompting the Ghost to respond via one of nine creative paranormal methods—such as forming a hangman’s knot, selecting tarot cards, assembling word puzzles on a talking board, or drawing by guiding a Detective's hand—most of which convey information to all players, fostering creativity and deduction. Twice per game, Detectives may attempt a full guess on the five key elements, with the Ghost secretly noting correct answers on their sheet.
