Description
"Don't Go to Jail" is a fast-paced Monopoly-derived dice game focused on rolling property groups to score money while avoiding "Go to Jail" busts. Key mechanics include: - *Multi-die rolling* Players roll 10 dice, setting aside "Go," "to," "jail" (bust if all three) and desired color groups. - *Reroll option* Continue with unset-aside dice or stop to score completed groups plus one incomplete group. - *Wild usage* Limited to one per group; can be replaced later with matching color. - *Scoring goal* First to predetermined amount or most money after fixed turns. - *Express variant* Replaces words with policemen, adds GO ($200, lost on bust), House/Hotel die (post-property completion), irreplaceable "?" Wilds, $15,000 instant win. - *DICED! re-release* 2021 US version of Express with square packaging. Don't Go to Jail is a dice-based game inspired by Monopoly, featuring a board with color-coded property groups assigned dollar values. Players roll 10 dice per turn, immediately setting aside any "Go," "to," or "jail" faces; collecting all three ends the turn with zero score. They may also set aside dice matching desired property colors, using at most one Wild per group (replaceable later with a matching color roll). Players decide to stop and score all completed groups plus one incomplete group, or reroll remaining dice, repeating the process. The objective is to be first to a set dollar total or hold the most money after a fixed number of turns. Monopoly Express updates include policemen replacing word faces (one with green GO arrow for $200, forfeited on bust), an 11th House/Hotel die unlockable after completing non-railroad/utility property groups (awards Houses at $1,000, Hotels at $5,000 after four Houses, or negates a policeman), "?" Chance logos as irreplaceable Wilds, and instant victory at $15,000 without round completion. In 2021, it re-released in the US as Monopoly DICED! with square packaging.
