"De Koloniën van Catan" (Catan's Colonies) is a separately sold expansion for CATAN, based upon the scenario "Die Kolonien" from Das Buch zum Spielen. It also needs Seafarers. For centuries a large island in the ocean is waiting to be settled. It has a lot of exotic resources. Of course the settlers of Catan want to make money from these scarce resources.
