Description
--- <TLDR> Catan PnP variant replaces desert with home hex, alters robber to distribute resources to home-adjacent players instead of stealing. </TLDR> Key mechanics include: - *Home hex placement* Desert tile in middle replaced by home hex; second home hex at number 2 token location. - *Starting restrictions* Only one starting settlement per player may be adjacent to a home hex. - *Robber positioning* Starts in center; movable via '7' roll or knight card to any terrain except home tiles. - *Robber effect modification* Does not steal cards; instead, grants 1 resource (type of moved-to hex) to every player adjacent to any home hex, regardless of settlement/city count. This PnP scenario modifies CATAN (compatible with expansions) by substituting the central desert tile with a home hex and positioning another home hex at the number 2 token's location, with the robber initiating in the center. Initial settlement placement limits players to one adjacency per home hex. Robber movement follows standard rules via rolling a '7' or playing a knight card, allowing placement on any terrain except home tiles, from which it cannot return. Critically, the robber forgoes card theft; instead, upon relocation to a hex, it awards one resource card of that hex's production type to each player with any settlement or city adjacent to either home hex, irrespective of the quantity of such structures. ---
