Description

--- "Die Windrosen" is a six-tile mini-expansion for Carcassonne featuring wind rose tiles that divide the board into quarters for strategic bonus points. Key mechanics include: - *Starting tile* Orange full wind rose defines four quarters (SW, SE, NW, NE). - *Redefining quarters* Blue full wind rose (regular backside) resets the four quarters. - *Bonus points* Orange quarter rose tiles (regular backside) score 3 points when placed in their matching quarter defined by the current full wind rose. - *No other effects* Roses do not influence tile features, other points, or general play. - *Setup integration* Blue full and four orange quarter rose tiles shuffled into the tile stack. Die Windrosen is a six-tile mini-expansion for Carcassonne, where each tile depicts all or part of a wind rose (compass rose). The red full wind rose serves as a new starting tile that divides the playing area into four fields. Released at Modell-Hobby-Spiel 2012 in Leipzig via a scavenger hunt at the Carcassonne-on-Tour booth, it introduces specific rules: the orange full rose acts as the new starting tile defining quarters (SW, SE, NW, NE); the blue full rose (with regular backside) redefines these quarters; orange quarter rose tiles (regular backside) award 3 bonus points if placed in their corresponding quarter per the current valid full wind rose. Beyond these bonuses, the roses have no impact on gameplay, tile features, or other scoring. The blue full rose and four orange quarter roses are shuffled into the tile stack at setup. ---
